MDF PAINT QUALITY DOORS

We can create a barn door to any style (see our NZ Farming town series) or dimensions for you using an MDF overlay (4mm, 6mm, 9mm or 12mm) on a standard PQ grooved or flush door.
Doors will range from 38mm to 60mm in thickness based on the overlay.
The thickness of the overlay gives “depth and shadow” to the profile.
Doors are generally supplied “unprimed” and ready for track mounting and installation. However we can recommend an appropriate applicator to finish or paint your door before delivery if required.

SOLID PAINT QUALITY TIMBER DOORS

This material choice uses solid timber that may have blemishes or small defects which have been filled flush. The integrity of the door is not compromised by these defects but the filler is not suitable for staining (hence the door is PQ).
The same range of barn-style patterns is available. With solid timber, the door thickness will usually be between 38 and 42mm
PQ timber doors can be painted or whitewashed but are not suitable for a full stain quality finish.
Nearly any size is achievable but some timbers may be less stable than others and distortions can occur (Pine and Macracarpa tend to be less stable).

SOLID TIMBER STAIN QUALITY DOORS

Bring out the absolute beauty of the natural grain or enhance the door with a stain effect.
A full range of barn style patterns are available and door thickness will usually be between 36 and 42mm
Our frequent SQ timber Barn doors have been in Pine, American White Oak (AWO), Cedar, Kwila, Macracarpa, Baltic Pine, Jarrah, etc. However any natural timber (exotic or native) can be used.
Nearly any size is achievable but some timbers may be less stable than others and distortions can occur (Pine and Macracarpa tend to be less stable).

SOLID TIMBER STAIN QUALITY WITH FEATURE OR TEXTURE

As per solid timber but with enhanced features to bring real life and character to the door.
This feature can include Bandsawn faces, Distressed faces (with artisans tools) Deformed knotty grain and other bespoke texture finishes.

GLASS

Ideal for use as office partitioning or a stunning bathroom feature, Glass doors on a rolling barn style track make the perfect design statement.

STEEL SHEET

Where actual steel or steel lookalike bring this industrial look into your retail, office, café, or kitchen environment as the perfect showpiece.

STEEL MESH

Who said doors need to be made from wood? Nothing is impossible for those who wish for something a little different. A steel mesh door will ensure your goods are protected whilst visible at the same time.
